2017

On New Year's Eve, as is my tradition, I like to reflect on the past year. I think it is really important to take note of the good things that happen in life. This year was another really good year for us!

I made a very "typical" new year's resolution for 2017 to get healthy and lose weight. But I actually did it! Josh and I completely changed our lifestyle and we are so much more active and healthy than we used to be. We have lost a combined total of 130 pounds between the two of us!

In March I finally got to hike to Blue Pool, which was on my Oregon bucket list. It was so pretty and I hope to do it again in 2018, maybe in warmer weather!

In May Josh graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Divinity degree. He worked SO hard to achieve that degree! We were blessed with the opportunity to fly back to VA for his graduation and we got to hang out with some old friends! It was a short but fun trip.

In July I got to reconnect with my friend Hilary after years of not seeing each other. It was a lot of fun and we need to hang out again soon!

I finally got to camp at the coast in August, which was also on my Oregon bucket list. The weather wasn't ideal, but it was a really fun little getaway!

In August I also turned 25 and we celebrated six years of marriage! It feels like we have grown a lot as a couple over this last year, and we are happier than ever.

At the end of September, we spent a weekend in Leavenworth, WA. It was so cute and I had wanted to go there for a long time!

In October we visited St. Helens, Oregon to see Halloweentown. Not a super exciting trip, but pretty neat. That same day we completed the Light the Night walk again in honor of my Grandma Rose.

We visited Meridian, Idaho and Boise, Idaho for the first time in November for Thanksgiving.

Most recently, we made our annual trip to California and I got to hike in Griffith Park, which had been on my bucket list for years! It was so much fun and I loved the views. I would gladly do it again! And the sunset on Venice beach wasn't too shabby either!

December also gave us our third nephew, Noah. He is perfect and we love him so much already!

This year was full of good memories and Josh and I had a lot of quality time together this year. I have high hopes for 2018 and we have already made some plans and set some goals. I hope all of you are able to look back at the good things that have happened to you this year!
