Virginia in the Fall

I can’t believe it is already November… Josh and I went on a walk yesterday at a park that we had no idea was near our apartment. It was so beautiful! Virginia is gorgeous in the fall. (Not that I have any other season here to compare it to). Sadly that is probably the most exercise I have gotten since being here! All I do is sit in our apartment! But that will be changing soon. I am meeting with a couple people this week about babysitting/nannying so I am really excited for that.

Thanksgiving is in only a few weeks. I am starting to miss home more and more when I realize that this will be my first ever Thanksgiving away from my family. Josh and I have had a couple of invitations to dinner with friends, but we might just do a small Thanksgiving just the two of us since it is our first one together. We went to the store yesterday and checked out their turkeys. I originally was just going to buy a turkey breast since it is just two of us but of course I had a coupon. We got an 11 pound turkey for a little over $6 (originally $18). I couldn’t pass up such a good deal! I realize that is  lot of turkey for two people, but again I love a good deal! And even if we don’t use it for the holiday we like turkey so it will get eaten. I just wish I had a crock pot big enough to fit it!

Usually this time of year I am used to cold and gross rain. But it is November and the high today is 68 degrees. It is so different here than from Washington.
